La Valette Boutique is a self-catering boutique stay in Sanilhac-Sagriès, five minutes south of Uzès in the Gard and fifteen minutes from the Pont du Gard. In a restored 18th-century limestone house you can book La Petite Valette (1 bedroom, sleeps 2), La Grande Valette (2 bedrooms, sleeps 4) or La Maison, the whole house (3 bedrooms, sleeps 6, two kitchens). It is a rental, not a hotel: no reception, no breakfast service, self check-in with a keybox. Booking is direct, with no platform fees.

The house
La Valette Boutique is an 18th-century limestone house in Sanilhac-Sagriès, in the Gard, southern France. It stands five minutes south of Uzès, in a landscape of garrigue, vineyard and old stone.
The house was restored before we bought it in March 2026: metre-thick limestone walls, original oak beams and vaulted alcoves, now with travertine bathrooms and SMEG kitchens. We furnished it ourselves, with a hotel-standard finish.
Who it suits
Every option has its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom. The choice is mostly about how many of you there are.
Sleeps 2One bedroom with a king bed, 30 m². Suits a couple or a solo traveller who wants a quiet base with a full kitchen. Maximum 2 guests.
Sleeps 4Two bedrooms, 35 m², open-plan kitchen with views over the garrigue. Suits two couples or a family of up to four, with a travel cot available for ages 0 to 2.
Sleeps 6The whole house: 3 bedrooms, 65 m², two kitchens and two entrances, no shared spaces. Suits a family or two households who want to be under one roof but keep their own door and kitchen.
An honest comparison
La Valette Boutique is not a hotel, a B&B or a chambre d'hôtes. If you want a front desk, daily service or a breakfast table, one of those is the better fit. Practical details
Location
The house is in Sanilhac-Sagriès, a village in its own commune among limestone hills, vineyards and garrigue. From here Uzès is five minutes by car, the Pont du Gard fifteen (14 km), Nîmes thirty and Avignon forty-five. There are restaurants in Uzès and plenty to do within an easy drive.
Staying in a village rather than in the old town of Uzès is a trade-off. In Uzès you can walk to the market and restaurants. In Sanilhac-Sagriès you give up the walk but have a quieter evening, garrigue paths near the house and Uzès five minutes away by car. The village itself has few shops, so plan your groceries in Uzès.
Booking
It is a self-catering holiday rental (gîte) with a hotel-standard finish. There is no reception, no shared dining and no breakfast service. Each unit has its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom, and you check in yourself with a keybox code.
La Petite Valette has 1 bedroom and sleeps 2 (30 m², king bed). La Grande Valette has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 (35 m²). La Maison is the whole house: 3 bedrooms, sleeps 6, 65 m², with two kitchens and two entrances.
A couple suits La Petite Valette. Two couples or a family of up to four suit La Grande Valette. For up to six, or two households who want separate kitchens and entrances under one roof, book La Maison.
No. There is no private garden or terrace and no swimming pool. Each unit has two bistro chairs in the shade by its door. The Gardon river, where you can swim in summer, is about 12 minutes away by car.
No. There is no air conditioning and no bicycle storage. If either matters for your dates or your plans, please consider that before booking.
Bed linen, towels, a hair dryer, free WiFi and a 4K TV with streaming apps are included, along with a fully equipped SMEG kitchen in each apartment. A travel cot for ages 0 to 2 and a booster seat are available in each apartment.
No. La Valette Boutique is self-catering, with no breakfast service or welcome basket. Uzès, five minutes away by car, has bakeries, pharmacies, a supermarket and its Saturday market for supplies.
Check-in is from 17:00 and check-out is by 10:00. There is no reception: you get the keybox code by email 24 hours before arrival and collect the key yourself. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be arranged on request.
Street parking is available about a 2-minute walk away, at 3 Impasse des Aires, 30700 Sanilhac-Sagriès; please avoid blocking neighbouring access. A car is needed, because there is no public transport to the house.
By car: Uzès 5 minutes, the Pont du Gard 15 minutes (14 km), Nîmes 30 minutes and Avignon about 45 minutes (around 40 km via the D981). The Avignon TGV station is about 38 to 40 minutes away and the Mediterranean coast about 50 minutes.

If you cancel before your arrival date, 25% of your prepayment is refunded. No refund is available after arrival. According to our terms, 50% is due at booking and the balance 14 days before arrival.
Pets are not accepted. The house is non-smoking indoors. Children are welcome; each apartment has a travel cot for ages 0 to 2 and a booster seat. Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 08:00, out of respect for neighbours.
It depends on what you want. In Uzès you can walk to the market and restaurants. In Sanilhac-Sagriès you have a quieter village, garrigue paths near the house and Uzès five minutes away by car, but you need a car and the village has few shops. See Uzès or Avignon if you are still choosing a base.
