Quick answer

Montpellier (about an hour by car) has the widest choice within about an hour, Nîmes (35 minutes) is the closest but small and seasonal, and Marseille (1h30) is the largest airport in the region. Pick up a hire car at any of them: there is no train station in Uzès or Sanilhac-Sagriès.

Best for most routes: Montpellier, with nonstop flights from London, Manchester, Dublin and Amsterdam, among others (October 2026).

Check before you book: airlines change their routes every season, and Nîmes in particular loses most of its lines in winter.

The route information below was checked on 11 October 2026 against the airports' own pages, KLM and the trade and regional press. Today's flights

Which flights land today?

We do not show live flights ourselves, because a stale board is worse than none. The airports publish theirs in real time: Montpellier arrivals, Marseille flights and Nîmes airport and its airlines. Your airline's app shows your own flight.

Planning rule of thumb: allow about an hour between landing and driving away (baggage and the hire desk), then add the drive. Check-in at La Valette is from 17:00 with a keybox, so a landing around 15:00 at Montpellier fits.

Hire car

Why a car

A hire car is the practical way to reach La Valette: there is no train station in Uzès or Sanilhac-Sagriès, and the regional bus 152 between Nîmes and Uzès does not reach Sanilhac-Sagriès. The nearest TGV stations are Nîmes (30 minutes) and Avignon (38 to 40 minutes), both with car hire.

At some airports the hire desks are outside the terminal with a shuttle. Check the pick-up point and the desk's opening hours for your landing time, and book ahead for the dates you need.
